- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
- 1 cup barbecue sauce plus more for serving
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Buns and coleslaw for serving optional
